Graffiti

On every canvass in the city

You've left your marks like graffiti

In every park on all the benches

On walls on doors on fences

The mockingbirds shout out your name

They sing that you've got a flame

No one could ever put out

But I'm gonna try

Cause it hurts like hell

That you're known all over the city

But it's not cause I spray your name

Under every graffiti

It’s cause every one on every corner

Knows the feeling of your skin

But when I knock at your door

You can't let me in

Underneath your sheets

Paradise awaits

Cause everyone who's been there

Says they've met their saints

And it hurts like hell

That you're known all over the city

But it's not cause I spray your name

Under every graffiti

It’s cause every one on every corner

Knows the feeling of your skin

But when I knock at  your door

You can't let me in
